Thyme essential oil

Thyme essential oil

 (Thymus vulgaris)

topical aromatic

Thyme essential oil is for use aromatically and topically while Thyme Vitality essential oil is dietary and therefore can be ingested.  Both bottles contain the same essential oil and differ only in the way they are labeled.  The designation of the two products allows you to share all the ways to use essential oils in the correct and FDA approved way

The thyme herb has been used for centuries for its beneficial properties. It is mentioned in the Ebers Papyrus, which is a list of 877 Egyptian lifestyle recipes dating back to the 16th century BC. The Egyptians used thyme in embalming and as incense in holy temples.

thyme

Thyme essential oil is distilled from the leaf of the thyme plant and is high in Thymol. Thyme can feel “spicy” when applied topically so it’s recommended to dilute with V-6™ Vegetable Oil or other carrier oil before topical application.  It is a powerful and key ingredient in Young Living’s Ortho Ease® Massage Oil, Ortho Sport® Massage Oil, ParaFree™, and Longevity™. It is also a key oil in the Raindrop Technique.

How to use: For aromatic or topical use.  Diffuse, inhale, or add to bath water.  Apply to crown of head, back of neck, behind ears or inside wrists.  Possible skin sensitivity.

  1. Great for use after exercise. Try adding it to your workout creams or massage rubs.
  2. Thyme has a stimulating aroma.  Try diffusing in the middle of the day to bring about a sense of alertness.
  3. When gardening outside, try diluting Thyme essential oil and add to wrists and neck to help you enjoy the outdoors annoyance free.
  4. Thyme can help reduce the appearance of blemishes when applied topically, which is why it is used in the Essential Beauty™ Serum.
  5. Diffuse or inhale for an aromatic experience that brings a sense of purpose.

THYME Vitality Essential Oil

dietary

Thyme is  part of this months Promo giveaway.  Let’s see what this oil can do!!

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) has a spicy, warm, herbaceous aroma that is both powerful and penetrating. Known since ancient times as a medicinal herb, thyme contains large amounts of thymol.  As a dietary supplement, it is one of the strongest antioxidants known. Thyme essential oil may support wellness*, and can be used as a pleasant, flavorful addition to savory dishes. Thyme includes the naturally occurring constituents thymol, para-cymene, and gamma-terpinene, and is an important ingredient in Longevity™ essential oil blend, Inner Defense™, ParaFree™, and Rehemogen™.

How to use: For internal use. To use as a dietary supplement, add to food, water or other beverages. Can also place a few drops in a vegetable capsule and take internally to support overall wellness.
Cooking: Infuse your favorite recipes with the enticing aroma and taste of Thyme. Essential oils are VERY potent. Start by dipping a toothpick in your oil and dragging it through your food.
Tomato Pasta Sauce: Add 1 drop of Thyme essential oil and 1 drop each of Rosemary and Oregano essential oil to tomato sauce base
Pasta Water: For a less powerful herb taste, instead of adding to the pasta sauce, simply add 1 drop Thyme oil, Rosemary and or Basil to the water before cooking spaghetti pasta
 pasta water (2)
Olive Oil: Add various culinary herb essential oils to your olive oil, such as Thyme. Pour over a plate of balsamic vinegar and use foccacia bread for dipping.
Marinade: add to your marinade for an Italian flare!
