Forgiveness™ essential oil blend

Forgiveness™ essential oil blend

  • Sesame (Sesamum indicum) seed oil
  • Melissa (Melissa officinalis) leaf oil
  • Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) flower oil
  • Frankincense (Boswellia carteri) resin oil
  • Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood oil (Santalum paniculatum)
  • Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) seed oil
  • Angelica (Angelica archangelica) root oil
  • Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) oil
  • Furanocoumarin-free Bergamot (Citrus aurantium bergamia)
  • Lemon (Citrus limon) peel oil
  • Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) flower oil

  • Helichrysum italicum oil
  • Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) flower oil
  • Palmarosa (Cymbopogon martini) oil
  • Rose (Rosa damascena) flower oil

When we have been wronged we have 2 choices:  We can hold on to anger, resentment and thoughts of revenge, or we can forgive and move forward.  By embracing forgiveness, we can also experience peace, happiness, gratitude and joy.

forgiveness

Forgiving doesn’t mean forgetting or excuse the act that hurt you, but it does lessen the grip it has on you allowing you to focus on the more positive aspects of life.  Forgiveness can also foster feelings of understanding, empathy and compassion.  According to Mayo Clinic, here are some of the many benefit of practicing forgiveness.

  • Healthier relationships
  • Less anxiety and stress
  • Healthier blood pressure
  • Higher self esteem
  • Stronger immune system
  • Greater spiritual and psychological well being

Or maybe it’s yourself you need to forgive.  When we unintentionally do something to hurt the ones we love we can experience intense guilt and regret which can lead to negative self talk.   Negative self talk are things like “I’m always saying the wrong thing” or “why do I always screw things up”.  These types of defeating thoughts perpetuate a negative downward spiral that is very difficult to break out of.

In order to forgive ourselves we have to give ourselves permission to make a mistake.  We are not perfect and mistakes are inevitable.  Learn from your behavior, admit the mistake and start the road to forgiveness. We are so much harder than ourselves than we are with the ones we love.  We give others the benefit of the doubt but don’t give ourselves any slack at all.  Forgiving yourself is about self acceptance and self love. Use Forgiveness essential oil to help you get there.

How to use: For aromatic or topical use.  Diffuse, inhale, or add to bath water.  Apply to crown of head, back of neck, behind ears or inside wrists.  Possible skin sensitivity.

  1. Diffuse to help release feelings of anger or guilt
  2. Apply to pulse points to help feel grounded and content throughout the day
  3. Combine with Epsom salts and add to a bath after a long day to promote feelings of contentment.
  4. Due to it’s calming scent, this is a great oil to diffuse in the evening to promote a healthy night’s sleep.

Present Time™ essential oil blend

Present Time™ essential oil blend

topical aromatic

“Dwell in stillness and to observe without reacting and without judging.” Jon Kabat-Zinn

Concentrating on the past or worrying about the future can be counterproductive.  Present Time essential oil blend has an empowering scent that heightens the feeling of “being in the moment”.

Present time is a blend of just 3 oils:

  • Neroli (Citrus aurantium)
  • Spruce (Picea mariana)
  • Ylang ylang (Cananga odorata)

Mindfulness Meditation (noun) : A mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

Mindfulness meditation is stopping the glorification of busy.  Stop looking at your cell phone when you are eating breakfast.  Stop multitasking. What do you see? What do you hear? What are the tastes, smells, textures around you?  There is no judgement, there is no right or wrong.

present-time

Mindfulness meditation has Buddhist roots, but has  entered the American mainstream in part due to the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn and his book  “Wherever you go there you are”.  Google “Mindfulness Meditation” for a wealth of information that is beyond the scope of this blog.

To allow ourselves to be truly in touch with where we already are, no matter where that is, we have got to pause in our experience long enough to let the present moment sink in; long enough to actually feel the present moment, to see it in its fullness, to hold it in awareness and thereby come to know and understand it better.
Jon Kabat-Zinn, Wherever You Go, There You Are

How to use: For aromatic or topical use.  Diffuse, inhale, or add to bath water.  Apply to crown of head, back of neck, behind ears or inside wrists.  Possible skin sensitivity.

  1. When diffused, Present Time™ helps you focus on the here and now, so you can get beyond the past and move forward.
  2. Rub a few drops of Present Time over the back of the neck. Leave the past and come into the present moment. Feel the power you have. Focus on the here and now; enjoy the new you.
  3. Put Present time on the back of neck and behind your ears and go for a walk.  Focus on your steps, the sounds of leaves crunching beneath your feet.  Focus on the shapes of the leaves and the smells around you.
  4. Diffuse Present time while meditating.  Sit in the lotus position and just focus on the here and now.  There is no past, there is no future, there is no right or wrong.  Do a “body scan” – focus on your feet to the top of your head.  Body part by body part.  Do not try to change it or control it.  There is just this moment.
  5.  Visit this page for 6 quick mindfulness exercises by Alfred James.  Diffuse or inhale Present Time to bring you to the moment.

What have you done today to be in the present moment?
