Ravintsara essential oil

(Cinnamomum camphora)

topical aromatic

Ravintsara is an exotic essential oil with a warm, camphor-like aroma. Held in high regard in Madagascan folk medicine, it can be used to support an overall sense of well-being.

Commonly used in meditation, Ravintsara has a pleasant, clean scent. Beloved as a single oil, it is also an important ingredient in Young Living’s Raven and ImmuPower blends.

How to use: For aromatic or topical use.  Diffuse, inhale, or add to bath water.  Apply to crown of head, back of neck, behind ears or inside wrists.  Possible skin sensitivity.

  1. Shower: Enhance your shower with essential oils. Put 5–10 drops of Ravintsara on a warm, damp washcloth and place the washcloth in the shower (out of direct contact with the water) immediately before showering.
  2. Diffuse: Ravintsara combines well with Eucalyptus essential oils. Craft a custom blend with Ravintsara and your favorite variety of Eucalyptus to diffuse in bedrooms.
  3. Aromatic steam: Add a few drops of Ravintsara to a bowl of steaming hot water. Lean your face over the bowl and drape a towel over your head and the bowl like a small tent. Breathe deeply and slowly to enjoy the aromatic steam.
  4. Meditation:  a great blend to diffuse while doing Yoga or meditating.
