Dill (Anethum graveolens) oil has a spicy, fresh scent that is stimulating, revitalizing, and balancing. Use dill essential oil for cooking or preparing food to enhance flavor.
According to wikipedia, it is also known as Indian Dill and originally from Southwest Asia, Dill is an annual or biennial herb that grows up to 1 meter (3 feet). It has green feathery leaves and umbels of small yellow flowers, followed by tiny compressed seeds.
One of dill’s more popular uses is as an aid to weight loss due to it’s ability to curb sugar cravings. So go and get your dill on to help maintain normal weight 🙂
How to use: For internal use. To use as a dietary supplement, add to food, water or other beverages. Can also place a few drops in a vegetable capsule and take internally to support overall wellness.
- Flavorant: Use in your favorite cooking dish! Best to start small by dipping a toothpick in the oil and then dragging it through your food
- Potato Salad: Add 1–2 drops of Dill essential oil to potato salad.
- Olive Oil: infuse a bottle of extra virgin olive oil with herbs and a few drops of Young Living’s Dill essential oil to make a fantastic salad dressings, a drizzle over pasta dishes, a dip for artisan bread, or a marinade for your favorite meats and vegetables
