Young Living Applesauce

I made this yesterday.  I’ve never made applesauce so I didn’t know how easy it was.  Peel apples, cut, add essential oils, simmer 30 min.  Mash.  Mmmmmmm.


Here’s the recipe from Young Living.  I didn’t know how it was going to turn out so I made half a batch.  2 lbs of apples is approximately 6 apples.  I then added 2 drops of lemon eo and one drop of cinnamon bark eo.  And yes, one drop of cinnamon bark flavors this entire bowl!  Always start with a small amount of cinnamon bark and it is a very potent flavor.  As a matter of fact, if you are making a half batch I would maybe dip a toothpick in the cinnamon bark and drag it through the applesauce and then taste test.  You can always add more.


I opted to mash instead of puree because I like my applesauce chunky.  You want some, admit it.  There’s no shame in that.  The drooling is a little bit embarrassing though – pull yourself together and make your own!
